GAPS Diet Gut and Psychology Syndrome

I am a Certified GAPS Practitioner and trained with Dr Natasha Campbell McBride in London in 2013.

The GAPS Diet is a natural alternative to help a myriad of health conditions including

  • Autism,
  • ADHD,
  • Celiac disease,
  • IBS and
  • Thyroid problems.

The Gut and Psychology Diet is just one part of a larger GAPS protocol which includes supplementation and detoxification.

Foods recommended include soups and broths, fermented foods. I have also recipes for bread, cakes and desserts baked with-out grains or without sugar

Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride recommends that GAPS patients follow the Introduction Diet before going into the Full GAPS Diet.  Depending on the severity of the condition, you can move through the Introduction Diet as fast or as slow as the condition will permit.

Please note: It is essential to have the book Gut and Psychology Syndrome to implement the GAPS diet effectively.

For people with intolerances and allergies it is best to concentrate on healing the gut wall with the Introduction Diet.  As long as the gut wall is damaged and stays damaged, you can be juggling your diet forever removing different foods and never get anywhere. Once the gut wall is healed, the foods will be digested properly before being absorbed, which will remove most food intolerances and allergies putting you on the path to better health.
